Kudos on ...I had an amazing comment that was eaten. Kudos on your loss. Keep up the good work. Each journey begins with a single step. This last year I focused on self and reclaimed a lot of my self-care that had fallen aside. I was tired, fat, achy, puffy and just a mess. I eliminated sugar from my diet completely (only eat fruit occasionally and no artificial sweeteners). I also stopped all grains and dairy (I had already mostly done this a few years ago). I ended the year lighter than I have been in my adult memory. That isn't the most important part though. I feel amazing. I no longer ache when I get up in the morning. I am nimble and have so much more energy. I think this lifestyle change has had a huge impact on me. I shed my old unhealthy habits (huge reliance on sugar) and am a better person. I did have a bit of sugar on xmas, and I felt horrible. I know I will no longer battle that demon. It took several weeks to detox, but I no longer crave/want/need it. It looks like WW is taking a move to this place. Good luck and keep moving even when it seems hard. Think of how much better you feel and how important that is.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02126417959697476009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15765605.post-36974763673884714282016-01-18T09:55:10.782-05:002016-01-18T09:55:10.782-05:00Excited for you! :D I have a few recipes I wanted...Excited for you! :D I have a few recipes I wanted to share with you! I've been seeing what you have been eating and it all looks really yummy, esp the apples and cinn and whip! I'm not sure if your family likes squash or not but we do. On nights I don't have a lot of time or I just don't feel like spending a bunch of time preparing food I do my easy version of this... http://www.nutmegnanny.com/2014/10/10/sausage-and-peppers-stuffed-spaghetti-squash/
I have used sausage and it is really good. But honestly, just cooking the squash, browning some hamburger, and using our fav spaghetti sauce is all I do(I don't even look at the recipe now except for a reminder of how long to let the squash cook). We don't use cheese either. The kids love it and you really don't know you aren't eating pasta! :)
http://rachelschultz.com/2013/11/26/sweet-roasted-acorn-squash/ This one is super easy as a side to your meat as well. They eat like sweet potatoes. I skip the butter and use canola oil, less brown sugar and more cinn.
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/50096/moroccan-style-stuffed-acorn-squash/ And this is a new found fav! I didn't have carrots so I used an apple. I didn't have acorn squash so I cubed up the butternut squash I had and poured the mix over the cooked cubes. Was so good! If you didn't want to use couscous I have no doubt it would be really good with Quinoa! :D (can't say the kids liked this one, but Brantley and I loved the flavors)
mbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17755597697209743003noreply@blogger.com
