What A Weekend! Friday came just in time for me this weekend. Steve and I went to the teacher's store so I could get some math stuff and the other Four Square Writing book (my inservice on Thursday was on the Four Square Writing method and it was awesome). We came home and relaxed and watched some tv and actually went to bed early!
Saturday we went and saw Failure to Launch with mom and it was really good. We went to Target and Michael's and I made an apron to wear to Main Dish! We came home and played around on our computers and then we had reservations for Andiamo in Dearborn. Before we went to dinner Steve spent some time outside washing the Beast.
Anyway-- Andiamo was good. We started with caprise which we both love so much! Then we had salads and my dressing was absolutely fabolous! I had a chicken and shrimp dinner but it wasn't outstanding. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The bread was awesome though. We shared dessert and it was incredible! We had a gift card that Steve won in a drawing through the Free Press and we had $75 to spend so we ordered another dessert to go. We got the bill and were shocked to find out that the card was labeled as $75 but really only had $50! So we had to make up the difference. Steve e-mailed and complained and as a result we're getting another gift card and free menu items and free appetizers! Whoo hoo!!
On Sunday we went to Monroe, MI to the IHM (Immaculate Heart of Mary) Motherhouse (yeah-- it's really called that) to see my mom become an Associate. It's taken her more than seven years to go through the process but yesterday it became official. We brought her flowers and a balloon and a card. We are very proud of her! It was so cute to see all the nuns there to watch her join their order as an associate.
After the ceremony we went to the basement to hang out and have cookies and water (lol). Mom opened her gifts and then after about two hours they kicked us out. We were going to go out for dinner but we decided to invite mom and dad back here for some meatloaf. So mom and dad came over at 7 and we had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy with corn. It was very good, however, mom got very ill and ended up in the bathroom all night. Dad had to take her home because she wasn't feeling well. :(
Anyway- today was a good day at school. It was very warm today, which is sad because it's supposed to be like snowing tomorrow. :( That's Michigan for ya.
