Mood: Tired
This isn't going to be a long post because I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. So it's going to be short and sweet and you're just going to have to deal with it (lol).
Sunday was the Superbowl... and the Colts won (yay!). I was glad because they had gone before but never won and I think every team deserves to win right?
Monday was the best day ever because it was a snow day!! It wasn't called because of snow, it was called because of the extremely cold temperatures. I was happy and loved it! I didn't really do anything on Monday... just kinda hung out and got some small things done, but nothing significant or really important.
Monday night was fantastic because Kylie called to tell me that there was no school for Tuesday! YAY!! I was able to sleep in and relax for another day!! I drove out to Southfield to have lunch with Steve. We went to Mr. Joe's and had burgers, fried pickles (YUMMM) and deep fried mac-n-cheese (Steve loved it). I went home and then I met Michelle and Diana at Briarwood to see Unaccompanied Minors. Not a good idea to see a movie on a day when every kid in Washtenaw county was off school!! Plus it was a kid movie and only $0.50 so it was cheap!! Anyway-- it was cute.
I went to the post office and mailed the first two care packages for the soldiers from soldiers angels.com.
I was hoping that there'd be no school again on Wednesday, but I was disappointed when I had no call to tell me to sleep in. I went to work Wednesday not knowing how much would change in just a few short hours!
At lunch I walked into the office and someone said that there were two kittens found abandoned and they were in the electrical room. I asked if I could see them (just because I love kittens). I walked in and saw the first cat and he came right to me and I picked him up and he started to cuddle with me. As I was holding him, the secretary told me that Wednesday morning, one of the teachers had seen him outside and he was frozen to the sidewalk. She called the custodian to come remove the body before the kids arrived. It turned out that he wasn't dead... just frozen.
Anyway-- long story short, I took the kitten (he's about six months or so). We named him Toebe because he's a polydactyl cat (has additional toes and looks like thumbs). He's a mini-Eddie. Looks just like Eddie but much much smaller.
That's the excitement for the week. We had a compliment party today and it was a great day. No other big news... we're going to Main Dish tomorrow. We're meeting Matt and Aimee at Panera for lunch before going to Dish and then sometime tomorrow night we're going out for Pam's birthday bash... bad karaoke and drunks... what a superb mix!!
