Day 295

October 22nd, 2010

October 22nd, 2011

So I am sitting here racking my brain trying to think about what I did today... I've got nothing.

I did get to sleep in (THANK YOU STEVE) and it felt wonderful. I do feel like I'm coming down with something (I've felt this way for a few weeks... maybe it's just stress). My nose is bonkers with being super duper dry one minute and runny the next.

I spent the morning downstairs just watching tv with Steve while Gus played. Then Gus took his nap, Steve hopped in the shower and I worked on house-hunting stuff. I decided to make a chart to keep track of the houses and features. By doing this, I've been able to narrow down the houses to my top four favorites.  I will write the pros/cons for each:

House #1: Windrose Court (Roswell, GA)

Bathrooms: 4
Finished Basement

I have one more to share... there are a few things I don't like about it. It has a basement, but it's not finished. There's no pool and no community pool. The price is under $300,000 which we could get the basement finished ourselves, but that's a lot of extra work and still no pool. We'll see. I love some of the features though!

House #5 Jasmine Green Trail (Marietta, GA)
Bedrooms: 5
Bathrooms: 3
Unfinished Basement, no screen porch
Great School Ratings: Ele- 8  Middle: 9   High: 9
Total Sqft: 3,349
Favorite Features: Love the exterior and love the porch
Isn't it pretty??

So there you have it. Boss Hogg was supposed to go today and check some of these houses out and get some info for us. I honestly feel like we can't go wrong with houses 1-4. I think Windrose is my top favorite, followed by Fox Grape, and Wildwood Springs. However, if Wildwood Springs Drive has a double-oven, it would become #2 favorite.

So... I made my chart and sent it to Boss Hogg, Steve, and my parents. It's just an easier way for me to stay organized and I think it helps. As I'm spending more time looking at the homes, my feelings about them are changing.

Gus got up from his nap and we had lunch and then just hung out downstairs for the rest of the afternoon. We went to Harris Teeter and the bank and stopped at Christy's house to get a Burt's Bees gift for Steve from another co-worker. Then we hit Wendy's for dinner since it was after 6 and I hadn't started dinner.

Tomorrow we're going to have Frito Pie for dinner.  :-)
Here are some pictures from today:
Steve took this picture of duck boy

Lunch: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich, string cheese and sweet potato chips

This afternoon Kristen sent me a text and asked if I'd be willing to take some pictures of her family! I'm so excited! It's like my first real photoshoot! We're going to go to a park in Fuquay and I've spent time tonight looking for different ideas for poses. I'm excited to try them and I hope I do a great job and they're happy with the results!!

Here are some pictures from a year ago:

See you tomorrow!
