Sunday Funday!

This morning we got up and headed to church. Lesley was there too so we enjoyed our time sitting with her and Hugh enjoyed his time with her as well. :-)

We decided that Steve would give blood after the 8:45 service this morning, and it took a wee bit longer than we had expected. However, both boys did well while we waited for daddy.

Since it took longer than expected, the boys and I stayed in the car while Steve ran into Trader Joe's for some odds and ends. Then we headed home.

Hugh was exhausted and had been fighting sleep all morning. In all actuality, he fought sleep all day today, and has been really irritable.

At 1:45 we headed out the door to Lowe's for their Build and Grow Workshop for kids. We had not done one before so we weren't sure what to expect, but we were excited.
A bit of a line to turn in our registration paperwork and get the materials

They had seven or eight tables in a row... each had spots for four children

If you ever sign up for one of these there are a few things you should know.
1) It's completely FREE.
2) You get to keep your apron and goggles and then at the end of the workshop, you get a patch to put on your apron
3) Print the liability/registration form BEFORE arriving to save time
4) Arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can avoid a long line and be sure to find a spot that you like
5) Bring a camera!!

Gus and Steve went to work and had a great time building their Monsters University Scarers

It got REALLY busy and there were people off to the side waiting for spots to open up!

He was yawning  ;-)

Cute right?!?!

Taking it all in

"We did it!!!"

Best buddies

He loves his scarers!!

After Lowe's we headed to Costco with the rest of the world (talk about busy). We got some much needed baby items (diapers, wipes, and formula) and then headed home. We got here just as it started to rain.

It was a great day that ended with a shower for Hugh:

Sunday Funday indeed.

I absolutely love the pictures of dad and Gus but my favorite is of dad and son walking away at the end of the building. Very, very super cute. Lots of love there for sure.
