Song: "The Flag" BNL
Mood: Tired

I have a few things on my mind that I would like to blog about tonight. If you're not in the mood to read... please find a different website at this time.

1) The Olympics-
I am so excited for the Olympics! I love the summer games 1000x more than the winter games and I love swimming and gymnastics the most! I am not a big fan of the opening/closing ceremonies, but I usually watch anyway. I am excited to watch the games this year and Steve is not. He absolutely HATES the Olympics. I guess you would have had to played on a sport at some time in your life to really appreciate how talented these individual athletes are... and he never did.

2) Gene Simmons Family Jewels-
I love this show! We watch it every Monday (it's on Sunday nights and we DVR it) and we laugh and laugh. Who would have thought that Gene Simmons was so funny? He's just a normal guy... a RICH guy. Anyway, last night's episode had me saying, "OH MY GOSH" over and over. Gene bought Shannon (his girlfriend of 25 years) a house in Canada (she's Canadian). He had her come to Canada and he surprised her with the house. Then these people show up... they apparently paid to rent the house and the guy that sold Gene the house never told him about it. Anyway, it was just insane how rude these people were and I couldn't believe how nice Gene and Shannon were. If you have a chance to watch... you totally should.

3) The Two Coreys-
Steve and I totally disagree about this show. I am on Team Haim (he's hot) and Steve is totally on Team Feldman (he's a douche). They are in therapy together (like for couples) and Feldman had suggested having some of their peers come together and tell Haim how he could improve in all areas of his life. Haim said, "Let me think about this... no." So you'd think that Feldman would drop it but no... instead he invites Haim over for dinner and oh, by the way, he invited Pauly Shore and Todd Bridges over. Haim comes in and immediately knows that Feldman has set him up. He gets all upset (rightfully so) and flips out a little. Okay, a lot. Anyway- Feldman and his bitch wife end up going over to Haim's to talk to him (because he refuses to answer any of Feldman's calls) and they end up having a HUGE blow-out. At the end, Haim writes Feldman off and vice-versa. Steve and I are split- I say Feldman shouldn't have set him up and Steve thinks that Haim is a train-wreck drama queen.

Okay- I think I have everything off my chest that needed to come out. Vacation is still going well. I have two weeks left and I couldn't be happier. I think I might go see Mama Mia by myself tomorrow. I'm not a big fan of seeing movies alone, but I want to see it and I love Steve too much to make him go see it with me. LOL. I'm going to wait to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants until I get back to Michigan in September. My mom and I are going to go see it together. I'm going to see if my SIL wants to go too and we can do lunch and a movie and make it a girl's day.

Until next time...

Hey Cathy! I started thinking about why random people are reading your blog. I think that when people do searches for certain things and your blog may mention one of those things in it, then it shows up on their search. They may end up coming to your blog and reading it. That's what I am thinking. So, just be careful what you say in your blog, especially about work!!:) Big brother is always watching, whether you want him to or not.

Thanks for the invite to read your blog - we had an issue with the computer and I lost all of my internet favorites when we dumped the hard drive and reloaded the operating system! 8( Anyway - I'm a fan of the Olympics and I've never played an organized sport. I totally apprecite the abilities of everyone involved, probably because there's no way I could do it, but more it's about the unity of the world for one common goal - WHO CAN GET THE MOST GOLD!!!! 8) GO USA! Hope to hear from you...maybe you could swing by in September if you have time while you're in town.

I saw Mama Mia live this weekend in Grand Rapids...IT WAS AWESOME! I want to go see the movie now to compare...hope you like it!

Second, question for you and Steve...how much of the Two Coreys do you think is actually NOT scripted? It is a 'reality show' after all... LOL

Love reading your blog!

Hi Cathy!
I have NO idea how you found me on here, but I am glad you did!
I like Family Jewels too, his son is hilarious! It's pretty much the only reality show I watch. (Like their lives are reality-I wish.)
I would love to meet up with you and Steve when you come back to MI in September!
