Well, we've decided to call it quits on the cloth diapering. I'm pleased that we did 16 months of CDing and it got us through the really expensive part (when he was going through 10+ diapers a day). We just have to get them washed again and strip out the Rockin' Green and then store them for baby #2 (down the road).
This morning Gus and I went to the Little Gym. This week is "wear your costume to class" week and so Gus wore his favorite Elmo costume. He was the only kid dressed in a costume today. Everyone else was in a Halloween t-shirt (if that), but no one had on a costume like Gus.
It was so funny to see the little kids react to Gus as Elmo. The class before ours has 10 months-19 months and when those kids came out from class, they recognized Elmo and came over to him. Gus wasn't sure about why all the kids were surrounding him. It was quite comical.

You can't really tell, but there's a kid in front of Elmo Gus
Gus had a great time today at TLG! He did a great job hanging from the bars AND he was able to catch a football when I threw it to him! He's so advanced!! He and I played "catch" for a while and he was having a blast!!
Elmo Gus got too hot for inside the gym, so we took off his costume
Getting ready to walk across the high double-beam!!
I was so proud of him!!!
After class, we headed to Wal-Mart to do our weekly grocery shopping. I put Gus's costume back on-- I figured that the people shopping/working at Wal-Mart could use a smile, and I knew seeing Gus in his costume would bring a smile to everyone that saw him. I was right. :-)
While at Wal-Mart, I bought Gus his very own potty. It's the cutest thing and I decided it was time because he's always in the bathroom with us, he lets us know when he has peed, and I just read an article that said 17-19 months is the perfect time to introduce the potty to a child. He's not ready to use it for real, and we're not potty training... but we have it there so he can get used to it and "try it out" with us. So far it's been great and he's enjoying "trying" on the potty and then flushing and closing the lid when he's done.
Isn't it cute?
On the potty!!

Tomorrow we've got the Fab Five Halloween party at Lacey's and I'm excited!! Then tomorrow night, Steve and I are going to Rock of Ages at the DPAC and Kristen is going to watch Gus for us. I'm so thankful that she's able to help us!!
Then on Thursday, Gus and I have plans for lunch with the Dentons and then going to the park with them to play.
Friday we're supposed to go trick-or-treating in FV with the K15s but it's supposed to rain. Steve was supposed to come with us, but he's got a conference call at 2... so it'll just be me and Gus if we go.
Here are some pictures of froggy Gus from last year:
See you tomorrow!!

Elmo Gus is adorbs! Are you skipping the BG trainers? I was hoping you'd have feedback on those! Haha!
Very cute. He may just surprise you with the potty. He already knows his body's signals as shown by removing his diaper! Just give him time and space. Offer the potty in the morning when he wakes up. Naked time worked amazingly well for our kiddos. Not sure how easy that would be with a house on the market. Each of ours self-trained by 2.
