Day 314

November 10th, 2010 (One of my favorite pictures of Gus)

November 10th, 2011

This morning we got up and downstairs just as Suzanne rang the doorbell (she got here at 8:30). She said she couldn't get in with our key and wasn't sure what to do. I had posted on her FB that we'd be home, but she said she didn't see it and was so glad that we were home!!

Gus played downstairs while she cleaned upstairs and then we went up and played for a bit before his nap.

The time change has really screwed up his napping. He used to start getting tired around 11 and we'd push it to like 1:00 before nap, but with the time being pushed up and hour, he's tired at 10 and by 10:30 ready for a nap. It throws off the whole morning.

Anyway, he went down at 10:30 and actually slept until 1:30!! He didn't take an afternoon nap, but I was happy with a three-hour nap this morning.

Wendy came over with the girls and the kids played while Steve and I had lunch (she brought us a sub from Harris Teeter). It was so good to see her and hang out with her. The kids had fun together and Gus was overjoyed to play with his buddies.

We had a mover come out and give us an estimate and we really like his company (it's local and family-owned). He gave Gus a toy truck that he just loves. They can pack us up on the 8th, load the truck on the 9th and deliver our stuff on the 10th. I'm excited that they'll move us on a weekend (the 8th is a Thursday). We're supposed to be there (Atlanta) for the closing, but I'm not sure how that's going to go. We'll say adios to NC on Saturday, December 10th... which is funny because we moved to NC from MI on Saturday, June 10th, 2007.

Anyway, after the guy left, Steve put Gus down for his afternoon nap (that he refused) and then went to Fuquay to pick up the train table that we got for Gus for his 1/2 birthday! It was only $20 and then the train pieces were another $20... so for $40 he's got a train table with all the accessories!!! It's awesome!!

We set it up (so easy) and then Steve brought Gus down from his non-nap and he was super excited!

He played at his train table (that has a drawer to store tracks and pieces and flips over to be a puzzle table or Lego table) while I started dinner (stir-fry).

It was a really good day! I got a text from Kristen asking if I could watch Grace for her while she goes to the hospital to bring Thom home... so they'll be coming over around 11. Gus will be excited to play with Grace.

I've got a nail appointment at 9 tomorrow... I think I'm getting my gel nails taken off and then just doing the shalack stuff. We'll see.

See you tomorrow!
